ABOUT

A Manzil Mystics student himself, Anurag works towards increasing the usability and accessibility of Music in Education. They plan to launch the Learning Through Music (LTM) Fellowship, a full-time 2-year unique livelihood initiative for Musicians from 18 to 25 years belonging from lower to middle-income backgrounds to enhance their employability skills. In the long run, their Fellows will be equipped to pursue Music as a solid and sustainable career option and transform lives by enabling access and use of Music to trigger creativity, learning, and social change in low-income communities and schools.

Language Education

ABOUT

Nikhil worlds with children belonging majorly to Dalit, Bahujan, and Adivasi groups (DBA) with low learning outcomes resulting from foundational language and literacy challenges. Through a two-year Fellowship model, they will work towards cultivating an ethos of informed discourse in rural India by establishing schools as effective learning and discourse centers for these children. They will build a community of reflective practitioners (Fellows) who would drive the change in their village schools by keeping the dignity of children from these communities at the core, welcoming home language, and bringing effective pedagogies.

ABOUT

Shibasis works towards providing holistic education to children by creating inclusive and vibrant learning spaces and enabling them to become creative designers through the use of technology. In the long term, they envision developing and strengthening the quality of teachers to provide quality education with the available resources and constraints.

Education through Sports

ABOUT
Ashok hails from the same community in which he is intervening to launch a Football based Fellowship. He works towards leveraging the power of Football and a network of young leaders to develop life skills and improve educational outcomes for children from underprivileged communities. Through the 2-year Fellowship, their Fellows will teach Football to children in the school system and school drop-outs and leverage it as a medium to deliver life skills sessions based on the WHO curriculum. This will be towards retaining children in the school and enabling dropouts to join back.

ABOUT

Pawan works towards building a joyful learning environment to improve children's learning outcomes and socio-emotional well-being. Through a three-year Fellowship, they aim to transform the education scenario in their community, develop local leaders, and build a platform for youth to connect with themselves and society. In the long run, their Fellows will drive change in the system by becoming independent mentors to other youth mobilizers who can support the village-level implementation of the Fellowship Program in the cluster.

Civic Education

ABOUT

Vishnu works with Dalit and Adivasi communities, where children face double marginalization with a lack of resources, information & exposure, ostracization, and discrimination. Through a two-year Fellowship model, their Fellows will work towards developing awareness of self, constitutional values, life competencies, and leadership capacities to empower children of these communities. They will teach civic education in schools and invest in building children and youth through different experience-based and psycho-social spaces. In the long term, these children and youth will work towards building justice, equality, and fraternity values and enabling change at the grassroots in their village and society.

ABOUT

Jitendra envisions to empower and create a self-sustainable society through education and socio-economic development projects in a state with the fourth-lowest literacy rate and 9 out of 26 backward districts in India through the two-year YU(वायु) Fellowship. Their Fellows will be local educational leaders who will teach children from these under-resourced communities in community facility centers developed by PANS. They will use innovative learning techniques to bridge the learning gaps strengthened by the closure of schools during the pandemic.

ABOUT

Raman works towards empowering Youth Teacher Leaders (YTLs) from within the underserved contexts to serve 40-45 out-of-school children (OoSC) and help them come on a lifelong learning path. The idea is to see the impact from one community to the entire country by empowering thousands of such YTLs to ensure that children are on sustainable learning pathways and are supported wherever they are in-country. LIFI envisions having no child out of school in the country one day.

Holistic Education through Sports and Physcial Fitness

ABOUT

Vijay works towards improving children's life skills, values, cognitive functioning, and health by inculcating education through sports in the curriculum. Through a sports based Fellowship, their Fellows will go to the communities, equipped with various age-appropriate sports equipment, and conduct sessions with children. Assessment tools will be used to gauge these children's learning capabilities and physical fitness progress. In the long run, they will expand the model to other schools and communities to develop leaders at the grassroots.
